*Abyss⛧Walker* I've been trying to hold off on buying any music untill I got another laptop to download my music, but I couldn't help myself with this album, I had to buy it especially since it comes on compact disc to add to my physical collection. Dissociate was amazing, following the release of "Alone in the Forest" through Dark.Descent records. Really isn't much I can say say that isn't already expressed in the album description. Except that Hypoxic is becoming one of my favorite artists. Really don't have a favorite track, but if I did, it would have to be Disintergrate featuring Embrionyc. That song aroused some emotions that the other tracks didn't, besides the occasional skin crawling and hair rising. Keep up the amazing work and really look forward to hearing more music from Hypoxic. Favorite track: Disintergrate.

Mark I agree with Abyss Walker. I don't buy much music anymore, but didn't listen to this one before buying. Hypoxic produces top notch music. I especially like the more evocative style like his previous releases and like the Isolated tracks tracks on this release. Keep it up man, you're a favorite!

As for Traumatic: you guys have some A-class releases and artists. Keep it up, keep it slow! Favorite track: Isolated (Part II).

about

TRM-LP-034 Hypoxic - Dissociate

Dissociate, detach from reality, enter the world of Hypoxic: Enigmatic producer from the end of the world, who has, for his three EPs on Traumatic and Dark.Descent., received a lot attention and praise already. On this full length album he presents the unique quality and range of his sound, from a genre-defying ambience and romanticism to full-on rhythmic industrial and doomcore for the punters.

“Dissociate” follows a clear-cut storyline, with the first tracks from the resonating opener “Perpetual” emphasizing strong atmospheres as their lead element, before “Spectre”, the epic collaboration with Xaero, takes the listener into a morbid grimy cavern.
The two parts of “Isolated” start with martial industrial drumming, then turning into a melodic floor sweeper; this “gothic” mood is also present in “Disintergrate”, featuring the efforts of German legend Embrionyc.
The rest of the album operates in faster territory, rhythm and distortion taking over, without neglecting the atmospheric qualities; and again a label mate contributes his skills: “Destroyer” brings in the crushing force of CRPTC.

“Dissociate” is an album in its classic sense, storytelling and made for home enjoyment, as well as yielding a number of club tunes, all made with an authentic and unique quality. Hypoxic has raised the bar high!
