about

TRM-EP-002 Cyberstruct - Weltschmerz

Cyberstruct hails from Australia with a release carrying a German title – Weltschmerz meaning the pain of the world, the feeling, you are carrying the entire weight of it. A gloomy concept so decidedly linked to the German psyche it’s better left untranslated. The EP starts with the title track and “Things that fall apart”, dominated by melancholic piano lines and doomcore beats of the very slowest pace. Embrionyc joins in to tell us “There’s a light on the horizon”, but just how slow can you go? Reconciliation though comes with “And you left me here to drown”, a serious weapon for the misanthropist dance floor.
